Overview

Job Title: Group Process Engineer 

 

Titan Cement Group is looking for a Group Process Engineer (Comminution) to join our Group Engineering & Technology team, within the Process Department, reporting to the Head of Cement Process Director. This role requires deep expertise in cement manufacturing processes, strategic thinking, and collaboration across multiple international sites. The role will focus on process improvement initiatives, particularly in grinding circuits, to enhance operational efficiency and sustainability.

 

The position will be based at Titan Cement Headquarters, Athens, Greece.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and promote a strong safety culture.
  • Provide support and consultation to cement plants in production and process engineering, with a special focus on grinding circuits and advanced process control systems.
  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best practices in collaboration with plant teams.
  • Identify areas for improvement, develop clear action plans, and oversee execution strategies to optimize plant productivity and energy efficiency.
  • Initiate corrective actions to address underperforming grinding circuits.
  • Optimize separate grinding on Supplementary Cementitious Materials (SCMs) to minimize clinker ratio.
  • Provide timely recommendations for plant upgrades, particularly in grinding circuits, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support in new equipment selection, process validation, commissioning, and performance testing.
  • Foster a continuous performance improvement culture through best practice sharing and peer-to-peer collaboration.
  • Conduct training workshops for young talent development and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive process innovation.
  • Support AI/ML projects in collaboration with the corporate digitalization team, vendors, and plant teams.
  • Communicate effectively with top management, plant teams, and external partners.

Qualifications

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Process Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 8-10 years of experience in cement manufacturing processes and/or production operations.
  • Strong expertise in grinding circuits and process optimization.
  • Knowledge of process tools and latest industry advancements.
  • Strong analytical skills in planning, cost, and data analysis.
  • In-depth understanding of cement production processes, equipment, and environmental standards.
  • Knowledge of safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance in cement manufacturing.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and change management skills.
  • Ability to influence, engage, and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working in multicultural environments with international exposure.
